Jake's Eagle Project
Last week, we helped Jake finish his Eagle project. Jake's project was dedicated to The Butterfly Garden at the Madeira elementary school. He set up, painted, and delivered multiple benches and picnic tables for the community to enjoy at The Butterfly Garden. Below are pictures of the scouts helping Jake paint and stain the tables and benches.

City Hall
A couple weeks ago, the scouts visited City Hall in downtown Cincinnati. This was a great experience for the scouts to learn about the history of our great city and what it is like to hold a public office.
Service at The Church
Last week, the scouts responded to the call to service. We dug up, rolled, and laid sod at the church. We all learned a few things: how working together as a team makes hard work much easier, how good it feels after accomplished a tough task that benefits others, and how heavy sod is!
Fitness Night
A few weeks ago, the scouts engaged in a fitness night to measure our fitness levels in different activities, such as the long jump. Despite the scout's superior jumping skills and great effort, the leaders claimed victory for the longest jump. Looks like our scouts need to continue to focus on their fitness aptitude...
The Observatory
A few weeks ago, the scouts found out about one of the best kept secrets in Cincinnati: The Observatory. This gem is home to one of the oldest, functional telescopes in North America. And yes, we got to take this priceless relic for a test drive!
Our instructor was amazing; we put him to the test and he definitely knew his stuff. We learned about the stars, planets, weather, and how time was kept in Cincinnati before the atomic clock. The observatory definitely exceeded expectations.

Fear Factor
A couple of months ago, the scouts were asked by the young women organization to plan and execute a combined activity. The scouts chose to engage in a Fear Factor competition. It was epic!
Round 1: Pass the Yolks
Round 2: Lemon Juice
Round 3: Mama Bird
Round 4: Just Eat It
Round 5: Ice Hoops
